What Happens At Meetings?

We are pretty casual as guilds go but we do follow a basic format for each monthly meeting.

Welcome — Members arrive, sign in, grab a name tag and a door prize ticket, and exchange pleasantries until the meeting is officially kicked off by a board member.

Announcements — The meeting leader shares relevant information about guild business and committee members share updates on upcoming activities, such as a retreat or the annual exhibition.

Program — The monthly program might be a lecture, a trunk show, a workshop, or an open sew. A few times a year we might have sewing activities focused on a charity activity.

Sew & Tell — This is when we get to see the brilliance of our members’ (and guests’) creativity! This is also when members (and guests) seek ideas and suggestions for troublesome projects. People show quilts, quilt tops, bags, clothing, household items (practical and decor), and fiber art projects that delight and challenge!
